After a postponement or three for weather, we finally got a glorious sunset at the Beach for the D's family portraits. Mom and family were great to fully prepare for the session, talking about clothing options, kinds of groupings we wanted to try and also the time to start. (Dad really helped alot to get our young "models" to show us their best "blue steel" looks and loosen up.)
PLANNING TIP: For sunset portraits at the beach you have a magic window of about 15 minutes just before the sun dips and just after. Prior to then, without any cloud coverage, the sun is super bright on the beach, so you you have to be careful especially with smaller children, not to start too early. I think we got plenty of winning shots and there's a whole lot more that we'll review next week. (The Jonas Brothers got nothing on these two !!!!)
