In the good ole days of film (I can’t believe I’m using that expression at my age), I was known as a black and white specialist. My clients and I loved the timeless look of bw portraits. All the emotion comes singing through and to me that is what makes a great portrait. Even the most advanced photoshop tricks can’t replace the human connection in a great image.
This newborn session was perfect for showcasing this classic heirloom look as the emotion that is evoked from the parents love of their little guy translates so well in these portraits. While my Hasselblad was retired a few years back, I think I may just have to test out Ole Bessy for old times sake.
